After insane amounts of planning (probably not enough) we're down to the wire. Saying our final goodbyes to a lot of people makes this whole thing a lot more real. It's more or less here. Our last day in Ottawa is tomorrow. Wednesday we'll be in San Diego, Friday we'll be on trail.

I hear that one can't plan enough before attempting a thru-hike of the PCT. I'm trying to prove that wrong by starting to plan now for my 50th birthday hike attempt...which is 6 years from now. ;) Good luck...we are following your progress for entertainment, preparation and encouragement.
